Empowering Youth with the Tony Hawk Foundation

Posted by Paula Schmitt on

Empowering youth is one of the most important things any person or organization can do in our world. With the continual onslaught of shallow, vapidity in our world, children need to know that they can be and do anything that they set their hearts and minds to. They need an outlet to be kids without all the glam messaging that is thrown at them every day. That's why we love the Tony Hawk Foundation. Its main goal is empowering youth to be their best and live their dreams.

Empowering Youth Through Sports

As a child, skateboarding was a healthy outlet for Tony Hawk. It allowed him to push himself, have lots of fun, and be a part of a community of likeminded individuals. That's the kind of positive impact the foundation strives to have on other children, both in the US and abroad.

From the website:

Since its inception, the Tony Hawk Foundation has sought to foster lasting improvements in society, with an emphasis on supporting and empowering youth. Through special events, grants, and technical assistance, the Foundation supports recreational programs focusing on the creation of public skateboard parks in low-income communities, and other causes in the U.S. and overseas. The Foundation favors projects that have strong community involvement, grassroots fundraising, and a base of support from the skaters, parents, law enforcement, and local leaders.

Eighto2 Shop is Partnering with the Tony Hawk Foundation

As a mother and founder of Eighto2 Shop, I'm proud to partner with the Tony Hawk Foundation to help further the cause of access to activity that is both mentally and physically healthy for children in underserved areas.

When you buy from Eighto2 Shop, we will donate to the foundation to help them continue to make a positive impact in the lives of so many children across the globe. Because empowering youth helps make our world a better place as much as it does theirs.
